Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC Governor of New South Wales

The Conservatorium High School is privileged to enjoy the Patronage of Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales.

In addition to her distinguished contribution to the judiciary and the law – Queen’s Counsel (1989), President of the NSW Court of Appeal (2013), Doctor of Laws honoris causa (University of Sydney) – Her Excellency has had a longstanding commitment to music and the arts generally. Until her appointment as Governor, she served on the Board of Sydney Youth Orchestras.

Her Excellency brings to her role as Governor a deep commitment to education, youth leadership, human rights and social justice. As the State’s only specialist music high school (and Her Excellency’s neighbours), the Conservatorium High looks forward to being of service to the Governor in her role serving the people of New South Wales.
